Our Gundog Program is a comprehensive, long-term immersion designed to transform your dog into an elite hunting partner. This in-kennel program bridges the gap between basic obedience and high-level field performance. We take the "teamwork mentality" to its highest level, ensuring your dog isn't just following orders, but is working in total sync with you in the duck blind or the field.

This program has 3 main phases:

1. Basic Obedience: Mastery of the 5 core commands in addition to respectful behaviors.

2. Formal Fetch: Teaching your dog to formally hold, drop, and fetch an object.

3. Field Training: Specialized field skills tailored to your hunting style.

   • Bird Introduction: Building a passionate, confident hunter through proper exposure and positive associations.

   • Steadying & Delivery: Ensuring your dog remains calm and "steady to shot" while delivering birds to hand with a soft mouth.

   • Advanced Field Obedience: Maintaining total control and off-leash reliability under the high-drive distractions of live birds and gunfire.

   • Environmental Conditioning: Building the grit and focus needed to navigate heavy cover, water, and varying terrain without losing focus on the task at hand.

This program is an investment in a lifetime of successful hunting seasons. Upon completion of the 4-5 month Gundog Program, your dog will also be prepared to run AKC Junior Hunt Tests.
