Depends on the program!

For most of our programs, dogs must be a minimum of 6 months old to enroll in our programs to ensure they are physically and mentally ready for formal work. While we generally prefer starting with younger dogs to build the right habits from the start, we believe all ages are trainable and can successfully develop a teamwork mentality.

Absolutely. We believe that owner involvement is the key to a successful transition, so we encourage scheduled visits during both our obedience and gundog programs. These sessions allow you to see the progress firsthand and learn the handling skills necessary to maintain the teamwork and respect we’ve built once your dog returns home.

We pride ourselves on clear and consistent communication so you’re never left wondering how your dog is doing. You will receive weekly update videos showcasing exactly what your dog is learning in real-time, whether they are mastering the 5 core commands in our obedience program or progressing through field work in our gundog program. These videos allow you to see the "teamwork mentality" develop week-by-week and ensure you feel connected to the process from start to finish. We know these dogs are family and should be treated so.

Rest assured, your dog will not forget you; they are simply experiencing a new, structured environment that strengthens their focus and discipline. In fact, our training process is designed to enhance your bond, ensuring that when you reunite, your dog returns to you as a more attentive and responsive partner.

To ensure the health and safety of every dog in our care, we require all guests to be up-to-date on Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza), and Bordetella. Please provide a copy of your veterinarian’s records prior to your drop-off date so we can verify coverage and keep your dog protected during their stay.

Our training programs are in-kennel board and train programs. Dogs in our Puppy Imprinting, Basic Obedience, or Gundog/Advanced Programs will have their own 5’x5’ kennel run in our enclosed kennel facility. Dogs in the In-Home Puppy Program will stay inside our house.
