The first few months of a dog’s life are the most critical for shaping their future behavior. Our two-week in kennel Puppy Imprinting Program focuses on building a positive "learning to learn" mindset. We move beyond simple puppy tricks to establish the early stages of a teamwork mentality, focusing on social confidence, environmental neutrality, and a clear understanding of boundaries. By starting early, we bridge the gap between bringing a new puppy home and enrolling in our formal obedience or gundog programs. Your pup will be introduced to the following commands, concepts, and more:

• Sit, Down, Here, Heel, and Place: Introduction to the 5 core commands.

• Eye Contact: Focus and respect.

• Attentive Leash Walking: Learning leash awareness.

• Structure & Respectful Behaviors: Setting the standard for house manners and respectful behaviors while discouraging common disrespectful puppy behaviors like play-biting, jumping, barking, and more.

• Engagement: Teaching your puppy that working with you is the most rewarding thing they can do.

• Confidence: Safely exposing them to new sights, sounds, and textures to prevent future anxiety and socialization with other dogs.

If your puppy is a future hunting partner, we will also introduce your pup to hunting specific concepts including water introduction (weather permitting), gunfire from a distance, and birds.
